WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The final NCCAA All-America selections have been released, and five Maranatha student-athletes have made the cut for the NCCAA's highest playing honor.

The All-American selections for volleyball and soccer are determined by the coaches at the national tournament. Student-Athletes must have been selected to the all-region teams in order to be eligible for All-America status.

Ali Hernandez highlights the list, as she becomes the first player in Maranatha Women's Soccer program history to earn All-America honors for all four years.

Kim Grogan (WSOC - 2nd Team) captained the Sabercats for her final season in the Blue and Gold, leading MBU to three shutout wins on the season. Grogan's consistency and leadership from the left-back position made her a vital component of the Sabercats' lineup, as the team finished above .500 for the second time since 2010.

Claire Hansel (WVB - 1st Team) had anything but a Sophomore slump, as the Watertown resident led the Sabercats with 412 kills on the season. Hansel also posted 408 digs, proving her worth on both sides of the ball for MBU. Hansel averaged just over 13 kills per match during the Sabercats runner-up showing at the 2018 NCCAA DII National Tournament.

Ali Hernandez (WSOC - 1st Team) caps off her now-historic career with her second consecutive 1st Team honor after earning a place on the 2nd Team during her two underclassman seasons. Hernandez finishes her career with 21 goals and 13 assists, finishing 11th in the all-time records for career points (55). Hernandez also became just the 13th player in program history to pass the 20-goals mark.

Kelsey Johnson (WVB - 1st Team) was practically unstoppable during her junior season, logging 329 kills, 657 assists, 441 digs, and 11 triple-doubles. Johnson earns her first All-America honor after being a key part of the Sabercats' 24-13 season. 

Alexis Sponable (WSOC - 2nd Team) one-upped her eye-catching rookie campaign by scoring 17 goals this year. The Michigan native now has 33 career goals, landing her in 8th place on the all-time program charts. Sponable was named as the NCCAA North Region MVP and earns her second consecutive All-America honor.
