WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats' Men's Soccer team is seeded #2 for next weekend's NCCAA North Region Tournament, and this year's tournament is wide open.

Maranatha will open play in the semifinal at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 8 against the winner of #3 Moody Bible Institute and #6 Emmaus Bible College. The winner of the semifinal will advance to play for the NCCAA North Region title on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. All games will be held at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa.

The winner of the North Regional Tournament will earn a berth at the 2019 NCCAA DII National Tournament held November 19-23 in Kissimmee, Florida.

New this year, the seedings are determined based on the new NCCAA Power Rating System, which ranks teams based on win/loss record and strength of schedule.

As one of the top two seeds Sabercats will have the advantage of only having to play two games in a row if they advance to the regional championship. 

So far this year, the Sabercats have beaten Faith (4-0, 4-1) and Emmaus (2-1, 3-1) but fell to Moody 1-0 in Chicago.
