SCHEDULE STAPLES
The four in-state events listed above have become regular-season staples for the Blue and Gold.
The Ken Weidt Classic has been the opening stage for MBU over the last few years, posing a welcome test after three weeks of preseason. As always, the event will be hosted by Concordia University-Wisconsin, and it will be run on the CUW campus on the shores of Lake Michigan.
The Warrior Invitational will be the Sabercats' next test, and they will have three weeks off to prepare for the jaunt through Greenfield Park near Milwaukee. Wisconsin Lutheran College will host the event.
The Sabercats will look to improve their placement in the Wisconsin Private College Championships. Last year, the Sabercat Men posted their best-ever finish at the event with a fifth-place finish, and the Women finished 10th out of 12. Now that both teams are away from their home course of Brandt-Quirk Park, they will be tested even more to improve their placement.
The Oshkosh Open has yielded success for MBU in the past, as the Women's Team won the event in 2016. Neither squad took the placement they wanted at last year's edition of the event, which came during an increased training period in preparation for NCCAA Nationals.
