GREENVILLE, S.C. -- After setting the Maranatha Women's Soccer all-time scoring and points records, Alexis Sponable has earned the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week Award once again.

This marks the third time this season that Sponable has earned the award, and it's the eighth time she's won it in her four-year career.

Given the context, this one was inevitable.

Not only did Sponable break the program records for career goals (53) and career points (122), she led the Sabercats to a 1-0-1 weekend last Friday and Saturday, scoring five goals in just two games. Sponable netted a brace against Great Lakes Christian to break the all-time scoring record, and then she logged a hat-trick (three goals) at Grace Christian University the next day.

Sponable now sits at 57 career goals and 124 career points, leading the team with 10 goals and 24 points for the 2020 season.

With her third weekly award in four weeks, she's showing no signs of slowing down.
