Bumpus, Johnson Earn AVCA All-American Honor
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Mattie Bumpus and Emily Johnson have both been recognized as NCCAA Division II All-Americans by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Bumpus and Johnson both earn the AVCA honor for the second consecutive year as they mark the 24th and 25th selections on the AVCA listings for Maranatha, dating back to the beginning of the AVCA listings in 2009.
Bumpus earns the award after being named the NCCAA Division II National MVP at this weekend's NCCAA DII National Tournament.
Johnson earns 1st-Team honors, as the sophomore setter passed the 1,500 career assists this weekend at the NCCAA DII National Tournament.
