GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association announced the field for the 2022 Men's Volleyball National Invitational, and the Sabercats are seeded #7 for their fifth consecutive appearance at the national event - the longest tenure of anyone at the tournament.
Maranatha opens with two matches on Friday, January 27 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Central against the third-seeded Chargers of Lancaster Bible College. Maranatha then turns their attention to the top-seeded Judson University Eagles at 8:00 p.m. that same night.
The results of those two matches will dictate the seedings for a slate of matches on Saturday, January 28.
The tournament will be held in Palos Heights, Illinois at Trinity Christian College - the site of three of the previous four National Invitationals. The seven teams will face off in a modified pool-play format with the winner claiming the title of NCCAA National Champion.

FORMAT
The Sabercats are guaranteed four matches, as the 2023 invitational will be a modified pool play event. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the National Semifinal while the bottom three face off for 5th place in the consolation bracket.
With this year's format, the Sabercats are guaranteed at least four matches.
