STORY

It was a rough day for the Sabercats. Stepping onto the court after a long trip to Hancock, Michigan the ladies were feeling a little cold. This showed at the start of the game as the Sabercats quickly found themselves behind.

Katelyn Morrison led her team in the first quarter with only 7 points and Kyria Teachout added another 2 points. In the second quarter, Maranatha could not seem to finish at the basket. The Eagles finished the first half with a 21-0 second-quarter shutout.

In the second half, Maranatha seemed to show a little spark. They appeared more aggressive on their defense which left the Eagles seeming a little flustered. In the final quarter, the Sabercats actually outscored the Eagles 12-6, however at that point, the game was already too far out of reach. Maranatha finished with only 25 points, 14 of which came from Morrison.
