THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE MARANATHA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY SABERCATS

Mrs. Marsha Jackson

Inducted

August 25, 2017

In recognition of her accomplishments on the volleyball court as Maranatha’s Head Coach (1989-2006), and off the court as a Christian educator, mother and wife; and for her dedication to our Maranatha athletes and athletic competition.

As the head coach at Maranatha, Coach Jackson led the MBBC Crusaders to two Lake Michigan Conference Titles, nine NCCAA Region Championships and five NCCAA National Championship Titles. Under her leadership, Maranatha’s record was 421-200 overall, and she ranks #31 in the NCAA for career wins at 396-200. Coach Jackson trained numerous athletes who went on to earn All-Tournament, All-Region and All-American recognition.

Coach Jackson exemplified the spirit, enthusiasm, and work ethic that Maranatha Baptist University desires to instill in all its athletes.

As a coach and teacher in Christian education, Coach Jackson has influenced the lives of countless young women, instilling theses same qualities in others as she continues to minister in the local church for the cause of Jesus Christ.

Coach Jackson’s legacy and testimony, both on and off the court of competition, shall ever remain as a testament to the Lord Jesus Christ and to Maranatha Baptist University athletics.
