In recognition of his devotion to the Athletic Department of Maranatha Baptist Bible College.

For his dedication to and love of Maranatha athletes and athletic competition.

As an original faculty member in the founding of Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 1968, Dr. Weeks was an avid sports fan. Dr. Weeks’ spirit and enthusiasm for Maranatha Crusader sports were contagious. Whether in Chapel, pep rallies, on the field or on the court, Dr. Weeks would cheer faithfully and fervently for the Crusaders.

From his stocking cap and letter jacket to his 'Spirit Sword', Dr. Weeks exemplified the true meaning and spirit of Maranatha Baptist Bible College Athletics.

Mrs. Elaine (Bartosh) Smith

 

Inducted

August 24, 2012

 

In recognition for her accomplishments on the field of competition as a Maranatha Crusader (1981-1984) in basketball, volleyball and softball; off the field as a Christian Educator and Coach;

and in the ministry of the local church.

 

For her dedication to and love of Maranatha Crusader

athletes and athletic competition.

 

As an outstanding intercollegiate athlete in the formative years of women’s sports at Maranatha, Mrs. Smith exemplified the spirit, enthusiasm, dedication and work ethic that Maranatha Baptist Bible College desires to instill in all athletes. As a coach and teacher in Christian Education, Mrs. Smith has influenced the lives of countless young people, instilling these same qualities as she continues to minister in the local church for the cause of Jesus Christ.

 

Mrs. Smith’s legacy and testimony both on and off the field of competition shall ever remain as a testament to the Lord Jesus Christ and to Maranatha Baptist Bible College Athletics.
