About
After graduating from Maranatha in 2021, Ashley Nerat took a year to explore her options while living back home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Ashley was approached last spring (2022) about a Graduate Assitant position in the Athletic Department. Thinking a little extra schooling could never hurt, and excited for the opportunity to gain work experience while getting to play softball for the school again, she applied for the position and was accepted a few months later.
Ashley started her work at Maranatha in August 2022. She has been able to use her degree in Communications - Digital Media and help the Athletic Department by taking on tasks involving website upkeep, designing graphics, producing athletic live streams, posting on social media, and filming promotional sports videos. She has also taken on the role of assistant coach for the women's basketball team.
Besides her work, Ashley is working on obtaining her Master's degree in Organizational Leadership. She also plans to use her leftover eligibility to play softball in the Spring.

"I enjoy playing volleyball, softball, and basketball. Big fan of the Green Bay Packers. I also love spending time with my friends, playing board games and watching a good movie!"
