Background

John Teasdale is a 1990 graduate from MBU. As an undergrad student, he served as the head varsity soccer coach and assistant varsity basketball coach at the Waukesha Christian Academy. After graduation, he began teaching high school math and science at WCA and assumed the head varsity coaching positions of both the boys' and girls' soccer teams as well as the boys' basketball team.

Over the next 20 years, Teasdale's teams won several state Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools State Championships in soccer and basketball. John joined Maranatha's coaching staff in the fall of 2009 as an assistant and has served in a variety of capacities.

"Being a Maranatha grad and a lifelong fan of Maranatha basketball, I am excited to be able to have an active part in helping coach the team I have followed for so many years," said Teasdale.

Coach Keith Salscheider says, "Coach John's utilitarian style and his dedication to detailed planning, scouting, and drill work have been tremendous assets to the program."
