See You At Nationals

STORY

WHITEWATER, Wis. --  It was a great day for Maranatha cross country at the Tom Hoffman Invitational. The men's team finished the day with a total team time of 02:45:05 which automatically qualified their entire team for Nationals, which will be held in Joplin, Missouri in November. Jeremy Fopma led the group with an amazing 9th place finish, running the 8k in just 27:33.

The women's team fell just 3 minutes shy of snagging their qualifying spot in Nationals. But have no fear. The women still have three more chances this season to qualify and join the men come November.

Although the women's team as a whole did not qualify, this did not stop Lydia Neubert (28:03) and Amber Brungard (28:35) from punching their tickets to Nationals as individuals.

UW-Whitewater took home the gold for the men. They finished with a total of 17 points. Six of their seven runners placed in the top 10. Their seventh runner just missed by an eye-lash, coming in at number 11. On the women's side, UW-Stevens Point ended in first place with a 40-point total. Rachel Krouse helped her team by coming in first for the ladies with a time of 23:27.
