CHICAGO -- There was just no stopping the Sabercats tonight, as they whipped together an 83-56 team win for their 50th series win over North Region rivals Moody.

Caleb Moultrie led Maranatha with 16 points and seven rebounds as the Sabercats put four into double-digit points to secure their second win in their last three games.

STORY

The Sabercats' defense helped them in the first half, as they held Moody to shooting under 30 percent on their home court. But at the other end of the floor, Maranatha picked up 16 offensive boards, out-rebounding Moody 26-8 in the first half alone.

No one took the clear lead in the scoring for Maranatha, as they kept the ball moving and shared the load offensively. Going into halftime, the Sabercats held a 39-22 lead and were showing no signs of slowing down.

It was a team win in the making.

The second half was a matter of the Sabercats riding the win out until it came to fruition. The closest Moody would come was making it just a nine-point game early on in the second half. Malachi Herbster continued his strong play with his second double-double of the season (14 points and 12 rebounds), and Dylan Woodward and Ethan Cooper contributed strong bench performances. 

Maranatha's performance was as dominant as it was balanced, as they held Moody at a distance down the stretch to pick up a big North Region win, their second in their last three games, and another strong team performance with Regionals looming on the horizon.
