LEAD
DEERFIELD, Ill. -- The Sabercats were overpowered today at Trinity International, falling in two games to the determined Trojans on the TIU campus.
The Sabercats will look to change gears for a trip to Plymouth, Wisconsin tomorrow to take on Lakeland University in a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m.

STORY
The Trojans scored a run in every inning of 15-2 win in game one, and they waited until the sixth - their final at-bat - to unleash a 7-run showing to put the game on ice.
On Maranatha's side, the Sabercats struggled to kick-start anything offensively. Michael Cripps was responsible for the Sabercats' two runs in the sixth, knocking in a couple on a fielder's choice, but that was all that the Sabercats could muster. Blake Lazaris was the protagonist for TIU, smashing a home run while going 3-5 with five RBIs.
The second game was a defensive battle, as Teddy Haugen went five innings on the mound for the Sabercats in game two, allowing just six hits in a 3-0 loss. Lazaris once again provided some pop for the Trojans, knocking an RBI triple in the fifth to cap off the scoring in the 3-0 win.
All in all, it was another disappointing day for the Sabercats, who face another difficult opponent in Lakeland University tomorrow.
