STORY

The Muskies did everything in the bottom of the first inning in game one, scoring nine runs off of six hits and a painful four Sabercats errors. Once the Sabercats got through the windstorm of the first inning, they slowed things down, keeping the Muskies blanked for the remainder of the game.

The Sabercats came to life in the top of the fourth, as back-to-back singles from Tim Nickels and Teddy Haugen kickstarted a three-run inning that was capped off with an RBI single from Michael CrippsJudson Martin allowed just three hits after the tough first inning, but the terminal damage had already been done.

The second game was more lopsided, as the Muskies scored in every inning to win 19-0. The biggest moment came in the fourth, when the hosts plated seven runs off of four hits and one error. Nickels, Haugen, and Joe Anderson all recorded hits for Maranatha. Haugen logged his second career double on the day with a two-bagger down the right-field line.

Looking ahead, the Sabercats will look to get some momentum building next week, as they have their first home doubleheader on Monday at 3:00 p.m. against Wisconsin Lutheran.
