WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Viterbo University brought the firepower tonight, posting 40 kills in their second straight-set win over Maranatha this season.

Phillip Holbrook led Maranatha with 8 kills and 4 blocks while Viterbo's Joe Todd led the offensive efforts with 12 kills for the visitors. Seniors Isaac McKee, Taylor Dafoe, James Rossiter, Steve Wagner, and Joel Smith were honored before the game in a senior night ceremony.

STORY

Viterbo was the dominant team early on, posting 15 kills in the first set alone to take a commanding 25-10 win. Viterbo matched that in the second set, and the Sabercats had difficulty attacking and in passing the serve receive. After two quick sets, Viterbo had limited Maranatha to just 21 points in the match.

The third set was all about Viterbo once again, as the Sabercats continued to struggle offensively. Maranatha eventually landed just 13 kills on the night - their lowest mark since the season opener - and Viterbo put down 40 in the match.
