THE STORY

WEST ALLIS, Wis. -- The Sabercats Women's Cross Country squad has locked in a full squad for the season's final event.

Sierra JohnAnna HeinsKatie Jean LingleAlicyn Wigdal, and Madelyn Hansel all met the 24:30 5K split that is required for runners to reach NCCAA Nationals. Most of the runners improved their time by two minutes or more. All the hard work that the Sabercats have put in over the last three weeks definitely seems worth it.

MBU's pack running was admirable as well, as the Sabercats had their top five runners cross the line all within a minute, front to back.

Kim Buskirk (Grace Christian University) was the fastest runner of the day, as she cruised to a 24:51 time in the 6K event. The Wisconsin Lutheran women's squad ended up with the fastest team time, as they edged Martin Luther by three points and 30 seconds. WLC's team time was 2:11:05 while MBU combined for a time of 2:25:37.
