STORY

Kansas got the game started quickly, putting points on the board just nine seconds into the game. But Maranatha gained a lead early on which was maintained for much of the first half. But the lead remained small and the Eagles were able to take control of the lead with ten minutes to go in the half.

It was a back-and-forth battle as Maranatha regained control once more, but a last-second three-pointer from Eagle's Kaiden Hunter sent Kansas to the locker room with a 45-43 lead.

Things took a turn for the worst in the second half as Maranatha found themselves trailing 75-62 with just under ten minutes to go. It seemed as if the Sabercats were starting to lose control, but after a couple of baskets from Caleb Moultrie and a series of Kansas turnovers, Maranatha's deficit was brought under ten.

With just 13 seconds to go, Justus Morrison hit a three to bring the game to just five points. But Maranatha couldn't overcome the deficit with the time remaining and ultimately fell 85-91.
