Fopma Grabs Second Straight Student-Athlete of the Week Honor

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Jeremy Fopma breezed to victory at the North Region Championships last weekend, and the National Christian College Athletic Association has awarded the senior his second straight Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
Fopma, a senior out of Marion, Iowa, captured his second straight first-place finish at the NCCAA North Region Championships in Ankeny, Iowa last weekend, defending his title as North Region Runner of the Year while leading the Sabercats Men's Cross Country Team to reclaim their title of NCCAA North Region Champions.
Fopma ran the 8K in 27:53 to beat the rest of the field by over two minutes.
Fopma and the team qualified for NCCAA DII Nationals in their first race of the 2022 season, and they are beginning final preparations for the event, which will be held November 11 in Joplin, Missouri.
