STORY

After missing Friday's game, Kyria Teachout and Sarah Rogers returned to the starting lineup today, but their returns were not enough to help stop the explosive offense of the Northwestern Eagles. The Sabercats were able to hold the opponent at bay in the first quarter as Northwestern led 12-6 at the horn. But throughout the second quarter, the Eagles began to heat up, dropping 22 points in the quarter while holding Maranatha to just two points.

The Sabercats' offense started to heat up in the second half, dropping 14 points in the third quarter and eight in the fourth, beating their pace from the first half. Unfortunately, the Eagles bested themselves as well. Northwestern dropped 29 points in the third quarter, basically sealing the win before the horn. Northwestern's Megan Roberts caused problems for the Maranatha defense by sinking 21 points, while Hailey Paup added 11 points and Kelsea Lund dropped 10 points.

For the Sabercats, Katelyn Morrison led the offense with 11 points, adding a couple of steals on defense. Callie Morrison grabbed nine rebounds, dished out four assists, and added three steals to her stat line. Kyria Teachout grabbed 4 rebounds in her return to the lineup while adding a steal and a block.
