WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats were blown away 7-0 on a Tuesday afternoon, as they were outplayed in the heavy winds by the highly efficient Ripon offense.

Ripon scored early and often, registering six goals in the first half before putting the cherry on top with six minutes left. The Red Hawks only needed 11 shots to score their seven goals.

OVERVIEW

  • Result: Maranatha 0-7 Ripon
  • Venue: Maranatha Baptist University
  • Location: Watertown, Wisconsin
  • Attendance: 35
  • Record: MBU (4-9-1), RC (6-6-3)

STORY

Ripon didn't take too long to get going, and they proved to be hard to stop, as they put five balls in the back of the Sabercat net in just a 20-minute span. The Red Hawks added one more before halftime, and going into the break, it was all about the visitors.

The Red Hawks changed to a more conservative approach going into the wind in the second half, and that allowed the Sabercats to catch their collective breath. Maranatha out-shot Ripon 5-3 in the second half but the terminal damage had been done, as Ripon breezed to the 7-0 win behind their alarmingly efficient attack.

Benjamin BishopAkaki Gweh, and Philip Holloway all registered shots on goal for Maranatha.
