MEQUON, Wis. -- The Sabercats were limited in their production at Concordia-Wisconsin, falling in straight sets while scoring 30 points in the match.

After the loss, the Sabercats will look forward to a matchup with Lakeland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday in Plymouth, Wis.

OVERVIEW

STORY   

The Falcons were precise right out of the gate, attacking at or close to 50 percent in the first couple of sets. CUW compiled 10 and 11 kills in the first two sets and ultimately kept Maranatha to just 10 kills in the match.

The Sabercats were only able to register single-digit points in the first two sets, falling 7-25 and 9-25, and right away it was clear that the Falcons have come a long way since their inception as a varsity program in 2018.

It was a tale of three sets, as the Falcons rode the momentum to a 14-25 win in the final frame to defend their home court.
