WATERTOWN, Wis.-- Maranatha was outmatched in last night's game against Rockford. The Sabercats fell on their homecourt 26-83.

Katelyn Brown and Chloe Steuerwald compiled a majority of Maranatha's total points, scoring 10 and seven respectively.

STORY 

It did not take long for last night's match to get out of hand as the aggressive play from Rockford was all too much for Maranatha. The Regents easily pushed around the Sabercats on both ends of the court, earning putbacks and forcing turnovers. 

Maranatha was outrebounded 44 to 21 on the night and finished with 41 turnovers. 48 of Rockford's points came from these forced turnovers, which Maranatha just failed to recover from in transition defense. 

In the second half, Maranatha came out with a little more aggression. Katelyn Brown worked her way into the lane to draw multiple fouls. She scored 10 of her team's 15 second-half points. The other five came from Chloe Steuerwald who was able to earn a few trips to the free-throw learn with some great basket cuts. 

Rockford continued to push until the last buzzer, finishing the game with an 83-26 victory over Maranatha.
