MILWAUKEE -- Matched up against the familiar Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors, the Sabercats had their hands full in Milwaukee this afternoon.

WLC scored three times in the 90 minutes to take home the non-conference win. With the loss, the Sabercats now stand at 4-6 for the season.

The Warriors took less than a minute to wake the Sabercats up with a goal, as they buried a chance off of a low cross just 40 seconds into the game. The Sabercats' defense froze the hosts' score for the rest of the half. Andrew Taylor was frequently called upon, and the senior goalkeeper was up to the challenge. Taylor made 8 alert saves to keep the Warriors at bay.

The Warriors added their second goal just 6 minutes into the second half when Juan Serna tucked a nice breakaway finish in the left corner to extend the lead. The third and final goal came just 8 minutes from time when Jacob Bruecker fired a low shot through traffic that caromed off the left post before going in.

This was the Sabercats' third consecutive loss to the Warriors. Since 2010, Wisconsin Lutheran holds a 6-2 advantage in the series. All-time, WLC now leads the series 19-17.

The Sabercats' next game will be the highly-anticipated rivalry with Moody Bible Institute. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Thursday in Chicago. Catch the details at mbusabercats.com/composite.
