BELOIT, Wis. -- Maranatha kept things close early on against Beloit but lost their steam later on, losing 51-72.  

Josh Davis led the Sabercats with 10-points. The team will take a week off for the holidays before returning to the court to take on Principia College in Elsha, Illinois on Tuesday, November 29th.

STORY

The Sabercats head into Thanksgiving break with another loss. After a well fought battle in the early minutes of the first half, things quickly went downhill for the Sabercats. After Josh Davis hit a shot from long range to tie things up at 12, the Buccaneers went on a 18-0 run.

Beloit seemed to outplay the Sabercats in nearly every are on the night. They outshot Maranatha from long range hitting 7 three's. The Buccaneer bench also contributed 37-points for their team while the Sabercat reserves were only able to obtain 15-points. 7 of those points came from Brayden Cox. Justus Morrison and Brandt Cashner made up the other 8-points by both contributing 4. 

Trailing by 16 after halftime, the Sabercats couldn't close the gap. For every shot Maranatha would make, Beloit seemed to have an answer. They finished off the Sabercats with score of 72-51.

Maranatha was without starting gaurd Dylan Woodward in last nights game. In his absence, Jataz Gray made his first collegiate start for Maranatha. Gray has been making an impression so far this season. He led the Sabercats in their previous game against Emmaus with 17-points.
