PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. -- The Sabercats are in the throes of a star-studded NAIA schedule, as they took another straight-set loss tonight against Trinity Christian.
The Trolls received votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 poll, and they attacked at a clip of 37.8 percent, posting 41 kills on the night. Phillip Holbrook led Maranatha with 9 kills, 3 digs, and 2 blocks on the night.

STORY
Trinity swung out to a dominant first-set win, posting 16 kills and 3 blocks in the opening frame. Riding the momentum of a near-50-percent attack performance in the opener, the Trolls cruised to a 25-12 win in the second as the Sabercats struggled on both sides of the serve.
The final frame was the most competitive, as Maranatha gained some momentum with a 19-point, 13-kill effort led by Holbrook. But Trinity had control of the match at that point, finishing with a 25-19 advantage for the straight-set wins.
Alex Costa did most of the damage for the Trolls, chalking 15 kills on the night. Holbrook led Maranatha's offense with 9 kills while Jared Fopma had 4 blocks.
