Dafoe Takes a Bow
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Taylor Dafoe has ended his four-year career in style by earning Student-Athlete of the Week honors from the National Christian College Athletic Association.
Dafoe, a fourth-year setter and team captain, passed 1,500 career assists in his final match as a Sabercat - a mark that stands as the program record. Dafoe is one of four student-athletes to play in each of the first four NCAA seasons for the program.
The Allentown, Pennsylvania native averaged close to 7 assists and 2 digs per set in a competitive three-match stretch, which included a couple of competitive losses to the defending NCAA DIII runner-up, California-Santa Cruz.
Dafoe was the first-ever student-athlete from the program to earn the weekly honor. This season, Dafoe led the team with 6.16 assists/set and 97 total digs.
