MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- A late goal from Chelsea Graham settled the difference today after a hard-fought 90 minutes at Mount Mary University, giving Maranatha a 1-0 win and the season sweep over the Blue Angels.

The win was the Sabercats' final road trip of the regular season, as they will return home for their regular-season finale with Great Lakes Christian on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in an NCCAA Midwest Region showdown.

STORY

The game was end-to-end in the opening minutes of the first half, as both teams fired off shots on goal. Mallory Willette put two shots on frame but Brianna Brown was up for the challenge both times in the Mount Mary net - Willette would end the day with seven shots on goal for the Sabercats and 10 shots total. At the other end of the field, Chloe Dodd kept a clean sheet with three saves in the first half.

When halftime hit, Maranatha had out-shot Mount Mary 9-5 and was looking the more dangerous of the two teams.

But Maranatha couldn't break through until late. After repeated attempts on goal in the second half, Graham finally found the breakthrough after knocking the ball in from a Megan Prigge corner kick. It was Graham's fifth goal of the season and the second time in a row that she had scored against Mount Mary. And it couldn't have come at a better time.

From there, it was a matter of seeing the game out, and Dodd had to make two saves to keep that result intact. It was the Sabercats' third shutout win of the season and they go into Saturday's NCCAA Midwest regular-season matchup with full momentum.
