NCCAA Fall All-America Recipients Announced

GREENVILLE, S.C. --- With the finalization of the 2016 Football All-NCCAA selections announced this afternoon, ten recipients earned NCCAA All-America status for the fall seasons.

At the regional level, the Sabercats swept all three of the NCCAA awards for Regional Player of the Year, as Alison Renz, Audrey Risma, and Wira Wama all took home the accolade. For Renz, this was the second consecutive year of being named as the region's best player, and Risma garnered the award for the third year running.

Renz and Wama both received the superlative honor of NCCAA DII Player of the Year, as was announced by the NCCAA at the DII National Championships in mid-November. This was the first time that Wama was named as the division's best player while Renz earned her second national accolade.

The 2016 All-America selections are listed below:

    • Alexis Johnson - Volleyball

    • Wira Wama^* - Men's Soccer
  • 2nd Team NCCAA
    • Alison Hernandez - Women's Soccer
    • Ben Schulz - Football

    • Trevor Schmidt - Football
