Glaze Tabbed with NCCAA Weekly Award

GREENVILLE, S.C. --- The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has named Sabercats Women's Basketball player Hanna Glaze as the Student-Athlete of the Week for Division II Women's Basketball. This award was given to Glaze for the events of the NCCAA North Regional Tournament held at Maranatha Baptist University last weekend.

Glaze, who has led the Sabercats with points per game for the better part of the season, put up 20 points, five rebounds, and five steals in the Sabercats' 83-26 semifinal win against Moody Bible Institute. Glaze followed her semifinal performance with an 18-point showing against Trinity Bible in the regional championship game.

Besides the 18 points in the championship game, Glaze added six steals and six rebounds, and made three free throws in the dying seconds to help the Sabercats to a 58-53 win.

So far on the season, Glaze has averaged 14 points per game while shooting 41.7 percent from the field. The Twin Falls, Idaho native is in the top 25 in the NCCAA in both of those categories.

Glaze and the Sabercats now look ahead to the Bob Jones University Bruins and the first game of the 2017 NCCAA DII National Tournament hosted by Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. For more information on the event, click here.
