DEERFIELD, Ill -- The Sabercats were overpowered at NCCAA DI Trinity International this afternoon, falling 8-0 after a first-half Trojan onslaught.

The Sabercats continue their rigorous early-season schedule on Tuesday with a trip to Indiana-Northwest.

STORY

The Trojans wasted no time in getting on the board, scoring just two minutes into the game to make it 1-0. After that, the Sabercats' defense stood strong until the breaking point, which came in the 27th minute. It was the start of a five-goal barrage in the span of seven minutes, as the Sabercats couldn't stop the bleeding. At halftime, it was 6-0 Trojans.

The second half fell kinder for the Sabercats, who limited TIU to just two goals in the half. Trinity scored two long-range efforts in the second half to finish off the 8-0 win.
