WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Things weren't as close this time around against Finlandia, as the Sabercats were handed a 6-0 loss in Hancock, Michigan to wrap up the weekend.

The Sabercats will now look forward to next weekend's anticipated NCCAA North Region rematch with Faith Baptist Bible College - scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

STORY

The Lions wasted no time at all in the first half, as they scored right away to start a three-goal barrage in the opening 10 minutes. That was a shock to the Sabercats system, and the only attack they generated in the first half ended up with a shot on goal from Danelle Habegger in the 14th minute. 

Going into halftime, the Sabercats were at a loss for chances and a loss for momentum, as the Lions led 3-0.

The second half was a repeat story of the first, as Finlandia slid three goals past the Sabercats to wrap up the 6-0 win. The hosts scored twice in a row around the 55-minute mark, and their final blow came with just over 20 minutes left in the game. Gabrielle Donough had a shot on goal for Maranatha in the second half, but all in all, the Sabercats had little sight of goal throughout the game, falling 6-0 at the end of 90 minutes.
