WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats fought for the win but fell short on a cold October afternoon, falling 3-0 to Grace Christian University in an all-NCCAA battle.

The Tigers scored once at the tail end of each half, adding insult to injury in a disappointing afternoon in Watertown.

STORY

The Tigers kept the ball in the Sabercats' end of the field for the opening 10 minutes, firing three shots at Mallory Willette, one of which clattered off the crossbar and away to safety. But the Sabercats didn't stay safe for long, as the Tigers got their breakthrough just after the 10-minute mark.

Grace scored just before halftime, and the Sabercats could only answer with one shot at the other end of the field in the first half.

The second half was a different story, as the Sabercats created two chances on the offensive end while holding Grace scoreless for almost the entire second half. But the Tigers snuck through the Sabercats' defenses with just 33 seconds left to put the finishing touches on the 3-0 win.
