Sabercats No Match for Hard-Hitting Raiders

MILWAUKEE --- The Sabercats difficult schedule continued with two away games today, as they fell in a doubleheader to the Raiders of the Milwaukee School of Engineering by scores of 0-18 and 0-20 in two games that were shortened by the run rule.

Brooke Campbell and Harmony Bailey were credited with the losses on the day as the Sabercats fell back to 2-10. With the wins, the red-hot Raiders are now 15-5 on the season.

The Raiders scored early and often in the first game, and MSOE's Caitlyn Moran was one of three pitchers who allowed just one hit between them in game one.

That hit came from Allison Epperly, who whacked a double to right field, but was eventually put out on the play in trying to advance to third.

MSOE did their damage in their four at-bats, keeping their foot on the gas for the whole of game one. (0-18)

Game two yielded a similar story, as Brooke Campbell was the only Sabercat who earned a hit off of either Shannon Curtis or Cailin Dilday.

The Raiders proved why their hold a high winning percentage, as their offense was on point yet again to push runs past MBU. After five more innings, the Raiders picked up their second win of the day. (0-20)

The Sabercats now look forward to this Saturday and an away doubleheader to Mount Mary University. The games will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and will be held at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
