ASHLAND, Wis. -- The Sabercats had their hands full at Northland College, as they took a 4-0 loss thanks to a second-half onslaught of three goals from the Lumberjills.

This was the Sabercats' second consecutive weekend on the road, as they will look to their second home game of the season on Tuesday when they face Ripon College.

STORY

The Sabercats' probed for a goal early on but couldn't find a way through the Northland defense early on. Maranatha earned three corner kicks in the opening 15 minutes but Northland had an answer every time the Sabercats asked a question of their defense. It took Northland almost 40 minutes to find their first goal of the game, as the Jills pulled off a precise cross and finish to open the scoring and take a 1-0 halftime lead.

Jocelyn Metcalf had the only shot on goal for the Sabercats in the first half. Amelia Schroeder had the only other chance for Maranatha, but her shot missed the frame.

The Jills hit the ground running in the second half, scoring two goals in the opening 15 minutes. The Jills' final goal came with four minutes left, as the hosts rounded off a four-goal win in their first home game of the season.
