WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Amelia Schroeder went on a goal-scoring tear in September, and the freshman has earned the Pizza Ranch Student-Athlete of the Month Award - an in-house award from Maranatha Athletics.
The freshman out of Stillwater, Minnesota grabbed headlines by scoring nine goals in September, including a four-goal game in an all-NCCAA battle against Spurgeon College on September 22. That quadruple hadn't happened for the program since 2018, and Schroeder scored three of those goals in the final 15 minutes of the game.
That game put Schroeder on the NCCAA's radar, as they named the freshman as the student-athlete of the week the following week.
But to start things off, Schroeder grabbed immediate attention with a goal-scoring run from near half-field in the Sabercats' first match of the season against Monmouth.
The freshman forward scored in three consecutive games to finish the month, ending the nine-game stretch with nine goals, one assist, and 31 shots.
