WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Sabercats Cross Country Teams have put in the work since the start of preseason on August 15, and the squads are primed and ready to take on the Ken Weidt Classic, new challenges, and a fresh look at the 2023 season.

Head Coach Haly Hendricks leads the squads, as was announced earlier this summer, and the Kansas native is ready to tackle the season ahead. 

"I'm excited to put into practice knowledge I've gleaned from coaching classes and my own coaches as well as building relationships with the team," Hendricks said. "If the team ends the season more like Christ, closer to each other, and having a greater knowledge of running, I'll consider it a success."

A NOD TO NATIONALS

The teams could punch tickets for NCCAA Nationals as early as this afternoon, as the NCCAA has outlined various qualifying methods for the season finale:

If the teams meet the team-qualifying time, they can run as many student-athletes as they see fit at the national championships.

• 10/21 - NCCAA Regionals @ Faith Baptist Bible College
• 11/10 - NCCAA Nationals @ Warsaw, Indiana
