STORY

The Sabercats were polished in the first match of the day, attacking at a clip of .412 to keep the Lions on their heels. Claire Hansel put down 15 kills in the match, and Caitrin Kemlo (six kills) and Mattie Bumpus (five kills) kept the attack going. Emily Johnson dished out 29 assists and led the defense with nine digs in the set.

It was a one-way match, as the Sabercats stifled the Lions, limiting their hosts to just 29 points in the entire ordeal.

In the second match of the day, Maranatha made quick work of the Oak Hills Wolfpack, finishing their Minnesota match in three sets as well. Hansel and Kemlo contributed nine kills apiece while Johnson (12 digs) and Erica Ureke (14 digs) kept the floor clean for the Blue and Gold.
