GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Jeremy Fopma, Abigail Doak, and Emily Johnson caught the NCCAA's attention after some dominant performances on the road last weekend, and as a result, the Sabercats have landed all three as the student-athletes of the week.

Fopma grabbed the headlines on a headline-grabbing day last Saturday, setting a new program record and shattering his personal record by running a 25:04 8K at the Jayhawk Invitational in Muskegon, Michigan. Fopma placed second overall and led the Sabercats to a fifth-place finish. It was a day to remember, as every runner on the Men's Team set a PR on the day.

Doak vaulted herself into the record books as well, grabbing the second-best time in Maranatha Women's Cross Country program history by running a 5K in 20 minutes and 20 seconds - it was a minute and five seconds better than her previous PR and she paced the Sabercats to a ninth-place finish.

On the day, everyone from the Women's Team set a PR as well, qualifying the team for NCCAA Nationals in the process. The two teams were on cloud nine following the meet.

Johnson was a pivotal part of the Sabercats' North Region rout in North Dakota. The freshman dished out 52 assists in two matches while notching 21 digs as the Sabercats swept Trinity Bible and Oak Hills Christian. The freshman marked the third time this season that the Sabercats Women's Volleyball Team has placed a student-athlete on the weekly awards listings.
