One More for Bumpus

WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Mattie Bumpus was basically the MVP of November, and the senior middle blocker has earned the Pizza Ranch Student-Athlete of the Month Award - an in-house award from Maranatha Athletics.

Bumpus was named as the NCCAA North Region Player of the Year at the NCCAA North Region Tournament last month, and she helped the Sabercats to their eighth consecutive regional title with wins over Calvary and Faith. This was Bumpus's first regional MVP award, as she earned All-Region and All-American honors in the 2020 season.

Two weeks later, Bumpus earned her first career National Player of the Year Award and subsequent All-American selection at the NCCAA DII National Tournament, earning All-American honors from the AVCA that week to cap off a dazzling display of postseason recognition.

Bumpus finishes her four-year career with 495 kills with a .265 attack percentage, 125 digs, and 173 blocks.
