STORY

Last weekend, the Sabercats grounded the Eagles of Emmaus in a 3-0 win. The Eagles started the match with a little more energy than the Sabercats. They even took the lead early on in the game. But after Delaney Thompson delivered a blowing kill to tie the game up (8-8), Marantha went on a couple of nice runs which gave them a comfortable lead. They closed out the first set with a score of 25-16.

In the second set, Maranatha jumped out to a 7-2 lead, resulting in Emmaus calling a time-out just minutes into the game. The time-out would not ice the Sabercats though as they continued to take care of business. They finished set two with another win (25-14) and went on to win the third set as well (25-17). Maranatha wasted no time, spending only 1-hour on the match. Mattie Bumpus played a key role in her team's win, having a near-perfect hitting game. 11 of her 14 attacks resulted in a kill, giving her a kill percentage of .714 on the match.
