STORY

Maranatha looked a lot better on day two of the Mount Mary Invitational. The previous night Maranatha suffered a 3-0 loss to Alma, ending their 14-game win streak which was the longest Maranatha streak since 2014. The Sabercats were determined on Saturday to finish the weekend on a more positive note. They beat Mount Mary University, for the fourth time this year, with a 3-1 win. 

Having struggled to find their rhythm the previous night, the Sabercat front line was feeling a lot better for this match. They finished with an overall 50 kills on the night and a kill percentage of .281. Delaney Thompson led her team with 15 of her 30 attacks resulting in a kill. Mattie Bumpus stayed right with Thompson, finishing with 14 kills herself and claiming 2 of the Sabercats' 3 blocks on the match. Caitrin Kemlo returned to the court after having not played the previous day. She helped her team by landing 6 kills. 

Marri Reid had a solid defensive game. She dug up 22 digs, which is a career-high for her. Megan Miller achieved a career milestone over the weekend with 524 digs.
