WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Maranatha took care of business tonight, beating Emmaus 3-0. 

Maranatha is now 4-0 in the NCCAA North Region.

STORY

In their second home game of the season, the Sabercats broke no sweat. They found their stride early in the first set and the Emmaus Eagles could not keep up. Maranatha won each set, without letting Emmaus break 20 points. (25-10, 25-13, 25-16). 

Mattie Bumpus, once again, led the pack on the front line. With 12 kills, she claimed a third of the team's total kills on the night. She also added in 5 blocks. Caitrin Kemlo also had a good night, with 8 of her 12 attacks resulting in kills. This gave her a kill percentage of .583 for the match. 

On the opposite side of the court, Emmaus struggled to find their rhythm on the front line. Their 14 kills on the night were not much help due to their 22 attacking errors. 

Delaney Thompson and Liberty Bailey both helped their team from behind the serving line with a combined 7 aces. 

With tonight's win, Maranatha is now on a 7-game win streak. They will look to continue that streak this weekend where they will play three matches at the Mount Mary Autumn Classic. 

As of today, Maranatha has climbed in the 2022 national ranking from 5th to 3rd! They are currently #1 in the North Region.
