MORRIS, Minn. --- At the University of Minnesota-Morris, the Sabercats were in search for answers to the Cougars' pitching in a 7-0 loss, as Michael Dockendorf registered the win and a one-hitter through nine innings.  

Caleb Prigge's hot bat got the hit for MBU, who had just two runners reach first base on the day. The series extends through tomorrow, when the two teams will clash for a doubleheader. With the loss, the Sabercats fall to 0-7 on the year.

The Cougars managed to post four runs in the bottom of the second inning. Connor Spindler had a three-run shot to left field, and the Cougars exploited one of two Sabercat errors to add another run in the inning.

UMM added a pair of runs in the third, but were held scoreless until the seventh inning by Clint Matheis and Caleb Courtney.

Meanwhile, Dockendorf proved that he brought his best stuff to the mound, as he fanned nine Sabercat batters en route to the 7-0 win.

Tomorrow's doubleheader will begin at 12:00 p.m. Central at Cougar Diamond.
