
Championship Weekend: NCCAA Regional Preview
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- This weekend will hold the 2017 NCCAA North Region Championships, and the Sabercats will be eyeing the regional title and the subsequent berth in the 2017 NCCAA DII National Championships.
The Women's Volleyball team will be hosting the event while both soccer teams will travel to Dubuque, Iowa to compete at Emmaus Bible College.

Women's Volleyball will host the 7-team tournament for the first time since 2011 when they won a 4-set championship match over Lincoln Christian.
Last year, the Sabercats won in 5 sets in the title match over Providence University College. Since 2010, the Sabercats have won the regional title every year except 2013.
The Sabercats will begin play in the quarterfinal round when they face the #6-seeded Calvary University Warriors. The match will begin Friday at 12 p.m.
Women's Soccer has won 5 consecutive regional titles and will look to add their sixth this weekend.
Last year, the Sabercats topped Providence University College 6-0 in the Regional Championship. That win was part of a 6-game shutout streak - the longest extended clean sheet in program history.
The Sabercats have received a bye to the Championship and will await the winner of Faith Baptist vs PUC. The Championship will kick off at 12 p.m. Saturday.
Men's Soccer - who qualified for the 2014 NCCAA National Championship via an at-large selection - has not won the regional title since 2008. They will look to add their second regional banner under Coach Jeff Pill.
Last year, the Sabercats lost 0-1 to North Central University in the regional semifinal. NCU would go on to finish runners-up at the NCCAA National Championships.
The Sabercats are the #2 seed and have received a bye into the semifinal Friday at 12 p.m., where they will play the winner of Faith Baptist vs Calvary University.
