The 2017 schedule is strong, as the Sabercats are slated to play 14 NCAA DIII opponents during the 18-game regular season. The only non-NCAA opponents on the agenda are Grace Bible College (September 22 - home), and NCCAA North Region opponents Moody Bible Institute (October 5 - away) and Emmaus Bible College (October 13 - home).
The NCCAA North Regional Tournament will be held at North Central University in Minneapolis November 3-5. Last year, the Sabercats fell 0-1 to the eventual national runners-up North Central in a thrilling regional semifinal. The Sabercats will look to rewrite the scoreline at this year's regional tournament.
The NCCAA DII National Tournament will be held on the campus of Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. this year. The Sabercats will look to make the return trip to the national stage. The last time the Sabercats were at nationals was in 2014 when they took home the national title.
The Sabercats return a strong freshman class and will look to build on last year's season.
