Hansel Hoards Awards
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- After being honored by the Association of Division III Independents for her standout performances in October, Claire Hansel has been named as the Pizza Hut Student-Athlete of the Month - an in-house award from MBU.
The sophomore continued her prolific season by notching 122 and 102 digs in just a nine-match stretch. Those marks amounted to 3.81 kills per set and 3.16 digs per set as she led the Sabercats to a 6-3 run.
In the nine-match stretch, Hansel logged four double-doubles and was named as the AD3I Student-Athlete of the Week on two occasions.
Hansel and the Sabercats will depart for NCCAA DII Nationals tomorrow morning, as they will be eyeing their fourth consecutive NCCAA DII national title.
