NCCAA Rankings: Sabercats in the Top 10
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association released the weekly Top 10 rankings yesterday, and both Sabercats basketball teams have landed in the rankings for the first time this season.
The Women's Basketball Team (1-2) holds onto their #6 spot while the Men's Basketball Team (4-1) vaulted from 'Receiving Votes' to the #7 spot.
Last Saturday, the women's team posted a convincing 77-49 win over their NCCAA North Region counterparts Faith Baptist. The win was their only win of the season so far, as they lost 54-60 to Mount Mary and 45-59 to Lawrence over the ranking period.
On the men's side, the Sabercats posted wins over NCCAA regional opponents North Central, Faith Baptist, and Emmaus Bible. MBU added a non-conference win over Dayspring Bible last Tuesday.
The NCCAA Top 10 Rankings are developed by the National Sport Chair and Regional Sport Chairs who represent each region. The National Sport Chair compiles the national ranking based on points from each team’s ranking on the Regional Sport Chairs’ national ballots.
