APPLETON, Wis. - For the second time this week, the Sabercats were finished by a late surge. This time, the Vikings of Lawrence University were on the other end of the scoreline, as the hosts scored three times in two minutes to seal an 8-0 win. The win for the Vikings evened out the series, which saw the Sabercats take a 3-1 win in 2015.

How it Happened

• 1^st Half
  • After withstanding an initial Viking attack, the Sabercats settled into their game until the 23^rd minute. It was then that Jawad Alweleidat scored his first of three goals on the day by finishing low into the left corner. The Vikings added two more goals to go into halftime with a 3-0 lead. Both goals came after dangerous services into the box that proved to be too hot to handle for the Sabercat back line (0-3)

• 2^nd Half
  • The score froze until the 70^th minute, when Lawrence's flank play showed its strength yet again. A header put the finishing touches on the move this time, and five minutes later, the Vikings once again flanked the Sabercats and finished a cross into the top-right corner (0-5)
  • The 82^nd minute triggered MBU's ultimate demise, as Lawrence scored three goals in rapid-fire succession. The last of which came from the right foot of Alweleidat, whose volley deflected into the top-right corner (0-8)
