Maranatha to Host Wisconsin Private College Championships
WATERTOWN, Wis. -- For the first time in school history, Maranatha is slated to host the Wisconsin Private College Championships. The cross country event will be held Saturday at Brandt-Quirk Park with a women's 6K at 12:30 p.m followed by a 1:30 p.m. men's 8K.
Maranatha has entered at least one team in the WPCC since 1997 - 3 years after the inaugural event. Last year, the Sabercats posted their best finishes to date when the women's team took 5th place and the men finished 7th at Carthage College.
The Sabercats men's squad has finished in 7th place for the past 3 years while the previous best for the women's team was an 8th-place showing in 2008.

This marks the first home event for the Sabercats since the 2015 Sabercats Invitational.
The event will be the second-to-last regular-season race for the Sabercats, who look ahead to NCCAA Nationals in November.
